Piercefield House and part of the Wye Valley walk

Another sunny day for  walking  again leaving from Drill Hall car park in Chepstow but this time joining the  Wye Valley walk  towards the  ruin of Piercefield house

 Ready for this short stroll

From the house we made our way to the Eagles Nest (not sure we actually for it) and the 365 steps ( I counted 363) stopping for a few minutes to help a lady with a terrible sense of direction ( hopefully she doesn't have a big house as she may struggle to find the kitchen)

Update I've now found out there are actually only 300 steps

Outside the Giants cave before  completing the last 2 miles in a little over 8 minutes.

Link to Piercefield

Total distance 5.5 miles

The waterfalls walk Sunday 20th June

A Generous 8 miles

Due to the team's lack of mind reading skills we got off to a shakey start with most people arriving too early at the  meet point in Monmouth. Anyway off we set to the Brecon Beacons for a leisurely walk in the woods.

After speaking with some  other walkers we realized we  were not following the map correctly but pushed on anyway so as to not admit to any mistakes.

Catch any fish Ciaran  and don't dive Nathan

A quick swim  before a short walk  back to the car park to get the jump leads out

Following the Dyke back towards Cheptsow again branching off back onto the Gloucestershire way for the return journey.
